Exterior wooden finishes can take a bashing from the elements and so it is really important to give them a great start in life by protecting them with products that work with the wood. Micro-porous finishes that help prevent cracking and that do not blister or peel are ideal, so we recommend using Osmo products. Pre-treat with WR Base Coat 4005 to give extra protection. For clear finishes we recommend using the UV protection (410 or 420 - 420 has active biocides, whereas 410 does not) For transparent coloured finishes use the Natural Oil Woodstains For opaque finishes use the Country Colour For added protection on doors and windows where one needs to minimise expansion use the higher oil Opaque Gloss (only available in white)
